BBC News 17 January 2015 Tsai Ing-wen elected Taiwan's first female president
Taiwan did something really democratic and important to show the power that woman have power too. We get used to see males in the parliament. Tsai Ing-wen has been elected Taiwan's first female president. Gender is not important we should vote the parties that defend our thoughts. Ms. Tsai leads the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) that wants independence from China. As a woman she is strong and has attitude like men. In her victory speech, she vowed to preserve the status quo in relations with China, adding Beijing must respect Taiwan's democracy and both sides must ensure there are no provocations. That shows how stable she is against to one of the biggest power in the world, China.
BBC News 17 January 2016 Online Music Videos 'expose teens to smoking and drinking'
A research has been made by Dr. Jo Cranwell at the University of Nottingham. The research was conducted amongst young people. 2,068 11-18 year-olds and 2,232 over-19’s were asked whether they had seen youtube music videos in the top 40 single charts between 3 November 2013 and 19 January 2014. The resurch results are quite shocking for me because a)online music videos contained a lot of depictions of tobacco and alcohol content, b) the average viewing percentage of the music videos was very high amongst the younger group (11-18 year-olds)with a percentage of 22%. c) the girls between the ages of 13 and 15 were the most exposed to cigarettes and alcohol in videos. d) Teenagers who were exposed to depictions of smoking and drinking alcohol were more likely to start smoking or to consume alcohol. The music videos not also contained tobacco or alcohol visuals; but also they gave references to drinking and smoking in the the song lyrics.

The United States and European nations lifted oil and financial sanctions on Iran and released roughly $100 billion of its assets after international inspectors concluded that the country had followed through on promises to dismantle large sections of its nuclear program. This came at the end of a day of high drama that played out in a diplomatic dance across Europe and the Middle East, just hours after Tehran and Washington swapped long-held prisoners. Five Americans, including a Washington Post reporter, Jason Rezaian, were released by Iran hours before the nuclear accord was implemented. The detention of one of the released Americans, Matthew Trevithick, who had been engaged in language studies in Tehran when he was arrested, according to his family, had never been publicly announced. Early on Sunday, a senior United States official confirmed that “our detained U.S. citizens have been released and that those who wished to depart Iran have left.” The Washington Post also released a statement confirming that Mr. Rezaian and his wife, Yeganeh Salehi, had left Iran.
French Foreign Legionnaires killed in Alps avalanche Five French Foreign Legionnaires have been killed and six injured in an avalanche while on a training exercise in the Alps, officials say. The avalanche came down close to Valfrejus, not far from the Italian border, where some 50 soldiers were training off-piste. Search dogs and helicopters immediately began looking for the soldiers. The group was a mixture of veterans and new recruits, lawmaker Julien Aubert told France's BFM television. The French Foreign Legion was set up in the 19th Century for foreign nationals to serve in the French armed forces, although it is also open to French citizens. The nationalities of the victims were not immediately known.
Quentin Tarantino: Hateful Eight violence 'necessary' BBC
I watched the film "Hateful Eight" I really loved the film but there was so much excessive violence and misogyny.Set in Wyoming after the American civil war, The Hateful Eight unites a cast of Tarantino regulars including Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell and Reservoir Dogs stars Tim Roth and Michael Madsen.It is his second western movie after "Django The Unchained" It was less violent than "Django" but there was violence in it.It also casts Single White Female actress Jennifer Jason Leigh as the only woman of the eight and she was the women who misogynised.Near to this violence there was humor too.If I have to give an example the door of the haberdachery was broken so every time a person comes in they have to hammer the door with two wood pieces and when that person open the door to come inside other people inside use curse words when they didn't close the door because it is like -20 degrees outside so they feel cold and when they curse each other it is very enjoyable to watch.In the movie they show references about USA and black people.In the film there is black man called Marquis Warren and he makes a joke about a letter came from Abraham Lincoln.Then he say that "Do you know what does it mean that a black man come across with the president of United States of America"
Australian Open 2016: Is Rafael Nadal in decline? BBC News 19 January 2016
One of the world's best tennis player Rafael Nadal, turns 30 this year, which is followed by his failure.
Fernando Verdasco has eliminated Rafael Nadal from the Ausralian Open in the first round, which is strange to happen. Not only Nadal's fans, but also Verdasco's and every players' fans were shocked. In 2015, Nadal also failed to win a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2004.
People start questioning: is the defeat hapenning for once, or does it show that Nadal is in decline?
While he could not win a Grand Slam, he only managed to win three ATP Tour titles in 2015.
As everbody knows, Nadal's favourite surface is clay. Perhaps the true indication of whether Nadal is in a state of decline will come during the clay season...

Hey Fellas,
There is this philosophy or rather a saying that I fully support and believe that it is definitely true. "Men lead the world, women lead the men." Of course there might be some who disagree with me but for me this is true for sure. It is indeed unfortunately men who rule the world but women is the one who rules them so technically, who run do world? Girls!
To move on with my news post, I must say that it has been my long tome dream to become a politician or to be more clear, the general secretary of the UN or the president of Turkey. I still believe that I can make my dreams come true, especially after taking a look at this news.
"The females that have broken through the political glass ceiling." says the news which I completely agree. Unfortunately they only show 12 of them and I do hope to be one of them I do have to say that there are many people who did deserve to be part of this news.
Because I am very into leadership, politics, international relations and everything that is related with these topics I can assure you that I have done a lot of research about leaders all around the world and a little disappointed with the fact that only political leaders that are presidents or the prime ministers were put into this list. There are indeed other women who deserve to be there and be known by the whole world.
To sum it up, I can say that it was very pleasing to take a look at this again and somehow get inspired by it. I must say, thank you CNN!
BBC News White blood cell found in birds 'can destroy fatal infection' 17 February 2016
There is a type of fungus called cryptococcus neoformans that can cause a fatal infection in humans with weak immune systems, especially with those who have HIV. Apparently, birds can block the growth of it. And there could be a treatment for it for humans. Dr Simon Johnston says "If we can learn how some animals are able to resist infection we might be able to gain insights into how we can improve the human immune response to this fungus.”. I think it would be great if they can find a treatment like this, and it would be even better if it actually works.

French Foreign Legionnaires killed in Alps avalanche
